For most college students, summer is the longest break of the academic year. It's a long enough break that even after a vacation, you'll still have to find something productive to do with the remainder of your time. However, after a few years of college, the job you had during high school will no longer suffice. It probably won't help you build your resume, and it may not pay as much as other opportunities. An internship or more focused summer job will help you pursue your career goals and will provide you with valuable life experience.
