Steamed Jasmine Rice
Rinse the rice, running your fingers through it to mix it around, until the water runs clear.
Bring the rice and water to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat to low and cover tightly. Simmer until all the water is absorbed and the rice is cooked, 15 to 20 minutes.
Remove the pot from the heat. Do not remove the cover. Let the rice stand for 10 to 15 minutes. Fluff up the rice with a fork and serve.
Yields 3 cups
