Baked Potato
Wash the potato, scrubbing off any dirt. Pierce the potato in several spots with a fork.
Place the potato on a paper plate or microwave-safe plate and cook on high heat for 3 to 7 minutes, until cooked through (the internal temperature should be 210°). Slice the potato open and add whatever the toppings of choice.
Defrosted Meat Warning
Meat defrosted in the microwave should always be cooked immediately afterward. Otherwise, there is a danger of bacteria developing on the partially cooked meat.
Serves 1
Want a bit of melted butter with your baked potato? Slice it open, add 1 tablespoon of butter, and place the potato back into the microwave for about 30 seconds.
