Keeping Your Cards Safe

Sports cards should be placed in protective holders—in a plastic sleeve and then in a top-loader plastic card sheet. More valuable cards can be placed in solid plastic card frames, or, at the very least, firm card savers, which permit cards to be comfortably slipped into them and prevent any bending.

There are many sellers of protective materials for cards. In Sports Collectors Digest and other hobby magazines, you'll find many sources of protective sheets, card frames, and storage boxes to preserve your cards. BCW is a supplier of everything from protective pages to albums to cardholders to bat and ball holders. They are online at www.bcwsupplies.com. For the actual displaying, there are frames made specifically for cards that fit anywhere from one to nine cards. There are swivel stands for these card displays, too.
