Do everything ethically and legally necessary to safeguard your precious teaching job; not only because it's your family's livelihood but — equally as important — because if you're fired your students will lose a magnificent teacher. Certainly, teachers who are incompetent must be fired, but a teacher as gifted as you are should be retained at all costs, for your students' sake. Therefore, fight for your job whenever necessary.
