Use this instead of the traditional tuna confit in the classic Nicoise Salad, or try it in Fish Tacos. It also makes a nice sandwich on sesame seed Focaccia with ponzu sauce for dipping. Ponzu sauce is a light, soy sauce–based condiment flavored with rice vinegar and dried fish flakes that is used for dipping in Japanese cuisine.
INGREDIENTS | SERVES 4
- 4 Ahi tuna steaks
- olive oil
- salt and pepper
- Tomato Salsa
Brush tuna steaks with oil. Season with salt and pepper.
Grill on both sides for about 7 minutes total.
Serve with salsa on top.
