Blue Cheese Dressing
This is a creamy dressing that is perfect for topping a wedge of iceberg lettuce or serving with celery and carrot sticks for dipping with hot buffalo wings.
INGREDIENTS | SERVES 8
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
- 4 ounces blue cheese, crumbled
- ¼ teaspoon onion powder
- salt and pepper to taste
Whisk together mayonnaise and sour cream until smooth.
Add lemon juice and vinegar, and whisk again.
Stir in blue cheese to desired chunk consistency.
Season with onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Herbs
Add fresh or dried herbs to a basic vinaigrette recipe to create herb vinaigrette. Some good herbs to use are basil, oregano, thyme, rosemary, chives, parsley, dill, or tarragon. Experiment with different combinations to create your signature herb vinaigrette.
