Peach Cobbler
Fresh peaches are best for this recipe, although frozen will taste good too. If you only have access to canned, be sure to buy unsweetened and drain them first. Serve this cobbler warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, or a tablespoon of heavy cream drizzled over it. Try adding blueberries, raspberries, or blackberries to the peaches for a variation.

- 1 recipe Biscuits
- 8 cups pitted, peeled, and sliced peaches
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon almond extract (optional)
- ¼ cup heavy cream, plus an additional 1¼ cups for biscuits
Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Prepare Biscuit dough recipe, substituting cream for the buttermilk. Cut out the biscuit shapes and set them aside unbaked.
In a bowl toss the peaches, flour, sugar, and almond extract together. Turn the mixture into an ungreased 9″ × 11″ baking dish.
Bake the peaches for 25 minutes, remove from oven, and place the cutout biscuits on top of the hot peaches.
Brush the biscuit tops with cream. Return the cobbler to the oven to bake for another 25 minutes. Serve warm.
