Hot Fudge

Chocolate sauce is thin and creamy, but hot fudge is thick and sticky, making it perfect for topping ice cream.

INGREDIENTS | YIELDS 3 cups

  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup light corn syrup
  • 1½ cups water
  • ¾ cup cocoa powder
  • ½ cup semisweet chocolate chips
  1. In a saucepan over medium-high heat, heat and stir together the sugar, corn syrup, and water. Bring to a boil. Boil for 5 minutes.

  2. Stir the cocoa powder and chocolate chips into the sugar syrup until the chips are completely melted.

  3. Remove from heat, strain, and refrigerate.
