English Chutney and Montgomery Cheddar
This recipe is a classic pairing of long Cheddar flavors mixed with spicy and fruity chutney. This is sure to delight on a cool autumn day. Serve for tea, appetizers, or dessert. If you can't find Montgomery's Cheddar, substitute with Keen's Cheddar, or an excellent, nutty, but not overly sharp Cheddar.
INGREDIENTS | SERVES 6 to 8
- ½ pound wedge of Montgomery Cheddar cheese
- ¼ cup good-quality English chutney
Place Montgomery's Cheddar wedge on a plate next to a bowl of chutney. Give each guest a small spoon for the chutney and a paring knife for the cheese.
