Cheeses from Tasmania are growing in popularity. Lighthouse Blue Brie is an exceptionally creamy and flavorful Brie. When combined with honey from New Zealand, the flavors pop.
INGREDIENTS | SERVES 6 to 8
- ½ pound Lighthouse Blue Brie cheese
- ¼ cup New Zealand Tawari honey
- Light crackers or sweet baguette
Place the wedge of Lighthouse Blue Brie on a serving plate, then drizzle with New Zealand Tawari honey.
Serve with light crackers or a thinly sliced sweet baguette.
New Zealand Honey
Honeys from New Zealand carry flavors of the island's flowers. The Tawari tree is found in the north, where the island is more forested. The Tawari tree's flower is waxy and white. The aroma of honey made by bees frequenting Tawari tree flowers is reminiscent of butterscotch.
