The seven sacraments form an important part of Catholic liturgy and observance. They are meant to give grace at all of life's stages — during the most important moments in each Catholic person's life — and to strengthen the faithful in continuing Jesus' mission of drawing everyone closer to God. The seven sacraments are Baptism, Confirmation, the Eucharist, Penance, the Anointing of the Sick, Matrimony, and Holy Orders.
