Cool as a Cucumber
Cucumbers really are cool—up to 20 degrees cooler inside than the external air! Cucumbers originally came from India. They began traveling the world around the time Greece and Rome reached their height. They arrived in France around the ninth century, England in the fourteenth century, and North America in the sixteenth century.
