Thanksgiving Pie Dump Cake
This is a great recipe to pass family style or share at potluck dinners. It travels well and is a warm, sweet, comforting dish that's sure to please.
INGREDIENTS | SERVES 12
- 4 eggs
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 14-ounce can pumpkin purée (not pie filling)
- 1 12-ounce can evaporated milk
- 1 18-ounce box yellow cake mix
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup pecans
- 1 recipe Whipping Cream
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a casserole dish.
Beat eggs, cinnamon, sugar, pumpkin, and evaporated milk in a large mixing bowl with a wooden spoon. Pour into casserole dish.
Layer dry yellow cake mix on top of pumpkin mixture. Dot with pats of butter. Garnish with pecans.
Bake for 1 hour. When cool, top with whipping cream.
