Chocolate Latte Cake
Skip the coffee shop and enjoy the sophisticated flavor of a latte fresh from your own oven. The ingredients are simple, but the results are stellar.

- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1 18.25-ounce box devil's food cake mix
- ¾ cup semisweet chocolate morsels
- 1 ½ cups whipping cream
- 1 ½ teaspoons instant coffee crystals
- ⅓ cup confectioners' sugar
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour cake pans. Set aside.
Mix melted butter and graham cracker crumbs and set aside to cool.
Prepare cake batter according to cake mix instructions for a two-layer cake. Pour into two cake pans.
Sprinkle butter/crumb mixture and chocolate morsels over batter before baking. Bake for 35 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool.
In a stainless steel bowl, beat whipping cream, instant coffee crystals, and confectioners' sugar until stiff peaks form.
Turn one layer of cake onto a serving plate. Spread cream mixture on top and sides. Add top layer and frost remainder of cake with cream mixture. Chill until ready to serve.
