Chocolate Gooey Cake

Use this sticky treat to celebrate a great day. This fancy-looking cake is simple enough for an everyday dessert.

INGREDIENTS | SERVES 12

  • 1 18.25-ounce box German chocolate cake plus ingredients called for on box
  • ⅔ cup fudge ice cream topping
  • ¾ cup butterscotch topping
  • ¾ cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 6 chocolate-covered toffee candies
  • 1 15-ounce tub nondairy whipped topping
  1. Prepare and bake cake according to cake mix instructions. While cake is still warm in the pan, use a skewer to poke holes all over the top.

  2. Pour fudge topping over top of the cake, followed by butterscotch topping and sweetened condensed milk, so that the holes fill with liquid.

  3. Place candies in a bag and crush with a rolling pin. Top cake with crushed candies.

  4. Frost cake with nondairy whipped topping. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
