Orange Campfire Cakes
The rounded shape you can achieve here is amazing. The oranges lend a delicate flavor to the cake.
INGREDIENTS | SERVES 12
- 1 (18.25-ounce) box white cake mix plus ingredients called for on box
- 12 oranges
- 2 16-ounce tubs sour cream frosting
Prepare cake batter according to instructions. Cut the tops off the oranges and hollow out the insides.
Fill each orange ¾ full with cake batter and surround the orange completely with tin foil.
Place foil-wrapped oranges in the hot part of the fire and wait for about 20 minutes, turning once.
Remove from fire and allow to cool. Frost if desired.
