This recipe is so quick and easy that older kids can make it for themselves as a warm, nourishing after-school snack. It doesn't need icing, but it is great with ice cream.

- 1 18.25-ounce box cake mix
- 1 15-ounce can pie filling
- 3 eggs
Grease a microwave-safe dish. Mix all ingredients together in a large mixing bowl, taking care to combine completely.
Pour batter into dish and shake until level.
Cook cake in the microwave for 10–12 minutes on high. Remove cake from microwave and allow to set for 3 minutes.
