1. Preheat oven according to cake mix instructions. Grease cake pan and set aside.

2. Prepare batter according to instructions. Spoon batter evenly into four bowls and add a few drops of food coloring to each bowl.

3. Allow children to mix coloring into the batter and then spoon batter into cake pan in any color order they like. Bake according to instructions.

4. Allow cake to cool completely before frosting.
