Swirl Cake
Can't decide between chocolate cake and confetti cake? Choose two different flavors of cake mix for this recipe. Almost anything goes. Experiment with flavors, but remember that sometimes less is more.
INGREDIENTS | SERVES 15
- 2 18.25-ounce boxes cake mix plus ingredients called for on boxes
- 2 12-ounce tubs prepared frosting
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour an 18″ × 13″ cake pan. Set aside.
Mix the first box of cake mix according to instructions on the box. In a separate bowl, mix the second box of cake mix.
Spoon a strip of the first cake batter into pan. Then spoon in a strip of the second batter. Alternate strips until the pan is filled.
Using a knife, cut through the batter so that the two cake batters mix and marble. Bake according to instructions on the package.
Allow cake to cool completely before frosting.
