Knowing that breastfeeding is vital to the health and well-being of families everywhere, state, local, and federal officials are implementing new laws designed to provide support and encouragement for breastfeeding mothers. These new laws, though, only clarify what was already true in the United States: You have a well-established right to breastfeed your baby for as long as you want and, generally, wherever you want.
