Subjunctive Forms: Exercise A

Write the verbs in parentheses in the subjunctive, depending if it is present, past, or future.

• Eu preciso que vocês me________________(respond). (I need you to answer me.)

• Ela deseja que você lhe________________(give) o livro. (She wants you to give her the book.)

• Nós gostaríamos que ele________________(come) mais cedo. (We wanted him to come earlier.)

• Eles se surpreenderam que ela________________(was) tão magra. (They were surprised that she was so skinny.)

• Se não________________(be) muito tarde, vou pegar o ônibus. (If it is not too late, I will take the bus.)

• Enquanto ele________________(need) de mim, eu vou ajudá-lo. (While he needs me, I will help him.)

Indicative or Subjunctive? Circle the correct verb.

• Se eu me lembro/lembrasse de tudo, seria mais fácil. (If I remembered everything, it would be much easier.)

• Elas não se esquecem/esqueçam de nada. (They do not forget anything.)

• Nós gostaríamos que eles trouxeram/trousessem a cerveja. (We would like them to bring the beer.)

• É bom que eles comem/comam tudo. (It's nice that they eat everything.)
