In a normal day in Brazil, many activities that you perform might be first conjugation verbs. Take a look at some of them below.

Routine Activities

Notice that all of these verbs all end in — ar, but that does not mean that all routine verbs do so. There are plently of verbs about routine — assistir televisão (to watch television), ir para a cama (go to bed), fazer a barba (to shave) — that end in another way and thus belong to the second or third conjugations. You will see these verbs in later chapters.
