It is easy to place a double down bet. To indicate you're doubling down, slide a second wager into the betting circle, next to your original bet. Do not put the additional bet on top of your original wager, as the dealer might think you're trying to increase your original bet, which is illegal.

If you're doubling down on a pair of 5s or 4s, which are hands that are better to split than double down on, the dealer will probably ask you to con-firm your intentions verbally.

If you win, the dealer will pay you even money on both of your bets, which means that you receive double your original wager. If you lose, the dealer removes both bets. If you tie with the dealer, you get both of your bets back, but no additional money.
