You are a stickler for details. Structure gives you a comfort zone, like black-and-white outlines to which you bring your personal crayons and vision. Oh, once in a great while you color outside the lines just to see what happens, but for the most part you honor the letter of the law, not simply the spirit.

People regard you as somewhat of an example to others, be it in your job or your own backyard. You're smart, know how to really listen to people, and enjoy helping other people achieve potential (as long as it's not quite as much as your own). Ah, that's the pesky birth number 1 rearing its somewhat selfish side — it's okay for everyone to shine, but your star still needs to be the brightest. Try to find a way to feed that aspect of yourself by putting your best foot forward no matter your choice of careers.

As for relationships, you crave a partner who's appealing from head to toe, and in every cell in between. This isn't simply about external beauty, it's about the whole “package” — and it can't be an altered one at that. You feel plastic surgery is rather silly when a decent stylist, makeup artist, and some wardrobe changes can make the worst external “geek” into a prince just waiting for a quest.

Gift idea: a compass.

November's flower is the chrysanthemum. As early as the fifteenth century B.C.E. the Chinese were cultivating it. Around the eighth century B.C.E. it came to Japan where it became the national flower (it even appears on Japan's flag). The name was taken from the Greek chrys (golden) and anthemom (flower). Many varieties of chrysanthemum are edible, having a biting, tangy edge favored in Asia. As with many other flowers, they have a language all their own: a regular golden variety means friendship, red is for luck, and a white flower is for honesty.
