You have a big heart and compassion to match. You are a consummate comforter and nurturer who needs to say “no” periodically — otherwise you'll burn out on other people's problems or during the pursuit of the next great, idealistic quest. This is where the birth number of 2 offers some control, wrapping all that goodness into a sensible package that can extend and retract as needed.

You caring nature leads readily to paths like nursing, care-giving, counseling, and other outlets where people reap the rewards of your wisdom and insightfulness. You have a strong work ethic, fabulous discipline, and high standards, alongside a natural ear for sympathetic listening. People can't seem to resist talking to you, and once engaged in conversation, trust grows rapidly thanks to your intuitiveness. A Scorpio decanate strengthens this aptitude.

You have no patience for deliberately flaky people. You prefer genuine individuals who are dependable and forthright. This is doubly true in relationships where your thoughtful nature might otherwise get abused. Once you mate, it's usually for life with someone who is just as devoted as you are.

St. Patrick was born in Wales around 385 C.E. He started out life as a pagan, but found himself drawn in a different direction after being captured at the age of 16 by Irish invaders. Six years later he escaped and traveled to Gaul. There he entered the monastery and determined to help other pagans find their way to Christianity. Eventually he was able to return to Ireland, where over a thirty-year period he established schools and churches and won many converts. He died on March 17th, 461 C.E., which later became a holiday in his honor. The first St. Patrick's Day celebration in the United States was held in Boston in 1737.
