On the Roman calendar, July was the fifth month. Romans called it Quintilis, which translates as “fifth.” Later, Julius Caesar gave the month 31 days, and the Roman Senate renamed it Julius in his honor. Astrologically, Cancer predominates during the first 22 days of this month. Unlike what we think of when we hear the word “crab,” this sign is anything but short-tempered. In fact, they're quite group oriented. Toward the end of July, Leo comes into the picture — a sign full of good fortune and intense personality.
