The Book of Revelation is like the Book of Daniel in the Old Testament–it is considered apocalyptic literature, and the Greek name for this work is The Apocalypse. Prophecy is definitely a part of Revelation, but so is the latent message to the early church not to give up–don't quit and keep persevering. This chapter will examine this last book of the Bible with all its colorful imagery, metaphors, and symbolism.
