This may come as a surprise to a lot of people who don';t know the Bible well, but references to Jesus Christ aren';t limited to the New Testament. It was as far back as the book of Genesis that the Bible tells us of the coming Savior/Messiah. Probably the richest Old Testament book when it comes to references to Jesus Christ is that of Isaiah, which contains more than one hundred prophecies foretelling everything from the circumstances surrounding his birth to the events leading up to his death on the cross.
