You'll find that most of your baby's early fusses will have to do with either being hungry, tired, or needing to be changed. Then, after she's a few weeks old, you may find that she's not tired, hungry, or wet and yet she's still fussing. Why? Simply put, she's bored. Once your baby tells you she's bored, it's time to introduce her to the concept of playtime even though she's only a month old and doesn't seem able to do much of anything. Work with what she's got — hearing, sight, touch, smell, and some muscle control. Play that appeals to these abilities will entertain your baby and enable her to develop her mind and body.
