Unlike breasts (you've got one pair, and your baby is pretty sure to accept their shape and what comes out of them), when you begin bottle-feeding you have a number of somewhat confusing options. Whether it's equipment or formulas, prepare yourself for a trial (and error) period as you figure out what you and your baby like best. If you have decided to bottle-feed your baby, ignore the comments and guilt that breastfeeding proponents will try to heap upon you. You've got enough on your plate that you don't need to waste time worrying about the breastfeeding police. Refuse to second-guess yourself. Your child will give you plenty of other things to stew about, so save your energy.
