There's no big rush to give your baby her first bath — the nurses bathed her at the hospital. Infants don't get all that dirty, so one bath a week is plenty until she's eating solid foods (and smearing them all over herself) and crawling in the dirt. Just be sure to wash her face, hands, neck, and diaper area daily. If your baby likes her bath, feel free to bathe her every day. It won't bother her skin as long as you limit her bath to no more than ten minutes, use water and a mild soap only, and, if she has unusually dry skin, use a lotion afterward.
