Aquarius children don't recognize barriers of any kind among people, so their friends span the gamut of the social and economic spectrum. They tend to be extroverts, but can also be content in solitary pursuits. They can be as stubborn as Taurus children, particularly when it comes to defending something they believe in.
While Leo has a habit of fighting for the real underdog, Aquarius sometimes picks the wrong side to support. Though her intentions are good, she sometimes chooses the wrong battle to fight. She's worldly at a young age, but an Aquarius child can also be quite gullible.
Aquarius, though outwardly gregarious, likes freedom and time spent alone. She tends to be a bad judge of character because she always finds the good in everyone. Even as a child, she plays with everyone and is a loyal friend. However, once someone has wronged her, she won't hesitate to cut this person out and eject him from the sandbox.
Even though these kids get along well with their peers, Aquarius children aren't followers. They aren't afraid to disagree with the consensus opinion. Within a family structure, they need to have the freedom to speak their own minds and know that their opinions will be heard. They may chafe at rules that are too rigid and strict — and they simply detest criticism. It cuts them to the core.
Remember, too, that Aquarius will take things in stride but that freedom with careful consideration works best. They have to know that you care but aren't on top of them all the time. Do this, and you'll have a generous, bright, and charming Aquarius child!
