Cancer in Love
Cancers can be evasive when it comes to romance. They flirt coyly, yet all the while they're feeling their way through the maze of their own emotions.
It's true. Astrologers will tell you that Cancers feel deeply; but what they don't tell you is that Cancers are also very good at putting their feelings “on hold.” In other words, if they're not already in love with you, they can pull back and see the relationship for what it is at a distance.
On the other hand, if they're in love, it's not so easy for them to let go. They tend to go the cheating route to push away a partner rather than fess up and just say how they feel. In fact, beware of Cancers dodging questions and important issues. They find it difficult to open up and talk about their true, personal feelings. If they do, with you, you've got an edge over all the others. Once again the whole “side-stepping” part of Cancer is absolutely true. True to their crab sign, they mimic the crustacean with surprising accuracy.
Some Cancers dislike the courtship of romance altogether and prefer to get right down to the important questions: Are we compatible? Do we love each other? The problem is, they tend to go through this by themselves or with a very close friend — not with you. You'll only see the wheels turning. In this case, you must be direct and ask what's going on.
They enjoy entertaining at home because it's where they feel most comfortable, surrounded by all that's familiar to them. They feel comfortable around water, too. From the fluidity and calmness of water springs their vivid, fantastical imaginations. Cancers are “idea” people — and can truly explain any strange, unusual, or outrageous concept to you.
Just remember: to live with and love a Cancer, you have to accept the intensity of their emotions. It's a war they have within themselves, and they'll want to embroil you in it. Unfortunately, they're too busy taking care of you and others to know (and show) what's eating at them. You'll have to get to the heart of the matter yourself.
