Virgo in Love
Virgos are inscrutable in affairs of the heart. They seem remote and quiet one minute, then open and talkative the next. This is due only to Virgo's battle within himself. He's sensitive but doesn't like to show it. Sometimes he'll need to show you how he feels; other times, he'll keep his feelings a secret.
Unfortunately, he doesn't always let you see this true side of himself. He's too busy weighing all the options and trying to act the way he thinks he should, not how he truly feels.
Virgos always need to perfect everything: every moment, every deed, and every word. They're idealists, but in a practical way. They truly believe that everything should fall into place on its own (even if it shows no sign of happening) and tend to stay in relationships much longer than they should simply because they don't want to give up and walk away. To them, you are the investment of their precious time. They also hold on to the past, like Cancers, and, unfortunately, apply past experiences to present ones. In a perfect world, this would make sense (to them). Unfortunately, each situation is different, and Virgos must face this fact.
The world is a complicated place, and most of us have skeletons in our closets. But for Virgo, there are too many skeletons. He wants perfection (mostly from himself). He'll generally keep his imperfections in the dark, though he'll be the first to point out some of his more superficial flaws. Pay attention to what Virgo tells you, as it's usually all true.
It is said that Virgos generally don't entertain romantic illusions. There is truth to this, but it's not the whole story. Virgos are incredibly romantic when they truly feel it. They have a wonderful appreciation of love — and know how to woo the “right” way. They seem more practical than idealistic, but deep down, Virgos suffer for love and feel their emotions intensely.
Virgos try to make everything fit into their idea of a perfect world. For example, they're very serious about the words they and others use. If you tell a Virgo something, he expects you to follow through on your promise. He's put his heart and soul into finding a solution for you. If you don't at least try it his way, he'll seriously discredit you.
It's said that Virgos are critical. Is this true?
Yes — Virgos are critical, and they can't help it. Don't take it personally, though. A Virgo is never harder on the people he loves than he is on himself. Virgo needs to analyze, sort through, and mentally take stock once in a while in order to feel grounded and stable.
Here's the bottom line: If you ask Virgo for advice, you'd better take it or at least make him think you're doing something practical about your situation. Like Sagittarius, Virgo will always tell you what to do and expect you to do it. If you get advice from Virgo and ignore it, he'll be less likely to help you in the future.
