This luscious dip has the flavors of Italy and the colors of the Italian flag. Serve with toasted Italian bread slices and breadsticks.

INGREDIENTS | SERVES 8

  • 1 (3-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1 (7-ounce) container basil pesto
  • 3 plum tomatoes, chopped
  • ⅓ cup toasted pine nuts
  1. In medium bowl, beat together cream cheese, mascarpone, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Spread on serving plate.

  3. Cover and refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours to blend flavors.

Layered Dips

Layered dips make a beautiful presentation. The trick to making them is to make each successive layer a bit smaller in diameter than the layer under it. That way everyone can see the gorgeous layers you worked so hard to build. A small knife and spoon will aid in serving.
