Frozen Cookie Dough
Make a double batch of this dough and use it to make lots of cookies, anytime you want.
INGREDIENTS | MAKES 36 COOKIES
- 1 cup butter
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 3 tablespoons heavy cream
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2½ cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
In large bowl, beat butter until soft. Add sugar and brown sugar and beat until smooth. Add eggs, cream, and vanilla and beat again.
Add flour, baking powder, soda, and salt, and mix well.
Form into 2 rolls on waxed paper, each 2″ wide and about 9″ long. Roll up, place in freezer bags, and freeze.
Each roll can be used for a roll of refrigerated cookie dough. Slice into ½″-thick rounds and bake at 350°F for 8 to 11 minutes until done.
Variations
For peanut butter cookie dough, substitute ½ cup peanut butter for ½ cup of the butter; use all brown sugar. For chocolate chip cookie dough, add 2 cups chocolate chips. For chocolate cookie dough, add ½ cup cocoa powder with the flour.
